Responsible for quarterly and annual reporting to investors, the FERC, partners and lenders including preparation of financial statements (including balance sheet, P&L, equity and cash flow statements), footnote disclosures and MD&A.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Assist with quarterly and annual GAAP reporting to investors, partners and lenders, including preparation of financial statements, footnote disclosures and MD&A.
Assist with FERC regulatory annual and quarterly reporting (Form 2/3Q and Form 6/6Q).
Act as key coordinator across all business units to ensure timely and accurate flow of information.
Proactively identify and implement internal process improvements in order to optimize efficiencies, improve the quality of analysis, and develop new reports for Senior Management.
Assist in serving as a technical accounting resource, including staying current on proposed and existing pronouncements as well as researching issues as they arise.
Interact with various levels of corporate personnel (e.g. Accountants to Senior Management) and respond to inquiries on close reporting.
Serve as liaison to the external auditors.
Assist with internal control compliance for the corporate accounting group financial processes and ensure accounting policies support compliance efforts.
Ad hoc special projects as necessary.
Foster a positive open work environment, systems approaches and disciplined execution of all assigned tasks.
Deal with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism.
Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills and listen carefully.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Accounting or a related discipline.

Experience/Specific Knowledge:

Certified Public Accountant preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of professional accounting experience, including public accounting experience with a national CPA firm or equivalent, preferably at a corporate engagement level.
Ability to interpret and document the applicability of GAAP and SEC regulations.
Experience with XBRL reporting a plus.
Familiarity with FERC chart of accounts and regulatory accounting a plus.
Experience with consolidations of multiple business units that include inter/intra-company transactions.
Accounting/financial system experience is a plus: e.g., Oracle, Workiva, Hyperion.
Intermediate proficiency level in MS Office applications.

Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

Above the minimum requirements, not required but advantageous in this position:

Compensation:

The annual salary range for this position will be $80,000-$110,000/yr.
